Submission Instructions

Abstract Submission
Abstracts are peer reviewed for content.  There is no specific formatting template. The abstract should include the title, author name(s), a contact e-mail address and be no more than one page in length.  Abstracts should be sent to as a PDF or DOC file by March 10, 2014.

Full Paper Formatting
All papers are to be submitted using the following template to maintain consistency during the conference proceedings. Please download the Microsoft Word file provided below and submit papers as an Adobe pdf file. Note that there is no restriction on the amount of pages submitted nor copyrights placed on submitted papers.

Note: LaTex formats are acceptable, however please convert your final manuscript to an Acrobat pdf file for submission.

Paper Submission
All full paper submissions should be sent to as an Adobe pdf file by April 28, 2014. Accepted papers will be published on this conference site and in the Conference Proceedings of FCRAR 2014.

Robotics Showcase Entry Submissions
Entries to the Robot Showcase can be in one of three forms. Each entry should include a project title, authors and institution clearly identified:

  • Actual robot prototype and demo at the conference site
  • Video entries
  • Poster board entries

Entries to the Robot Showcase should be sent to As applicable, the entry should include pictures in JPEG format and/or videos in WMV, MPEG, or AVI format. Robot videos should include credits (project title, authors and institution) at the beginning of each video. Videos will be projected on large screens and looped at the conference site where actual robot demonstrations will also be carried out. Poster boards will displayed in this area as well.  Individuals may also elect to play their video on a personal laptop during the event.
